Gina Pierce originally trained in Furnishing and Interior Design at the London College of Furniture, and started her career as a commercial interior designer. Returning to study in 1996, she took an MA in Textile Design at Central Saint Martins School of Art, where she specialised in studying the effects of colour in interiors. Since then she has worked freelance, selling fashion and furnishing designs internationally, and taking commission work.

Gina has lectured at London Guildhall University since 1998, and in 2005 became joint Course Leader of the BA Textile Design at London Metropolitan University.
