About

Since completing an MA at Central Saint Martins I have combined design work with lecturing at Undergraduate level, teaching textiles, colour studies, drawing and interior design. In my professional practice, I have worked on bespoke projects, and sold through agents for designs for fashion and furnishing. My designs have been used for print, weave, towels and wallpapers.

In 2008 I set up Gina Pierce Design, designing and producing collections for hand and digital print fabric, accessories, wallpaper and products, and working to commission for consultancy, site specific projects and retail. I have exhibited at trade shows including 100% Design, ICFF New York, Origin London, and East London Design Show, and sold work throughout Europe, in the US and China.

I am currently studying part-time for a practice based PhD; thesis title ‘A methodology for working with textile archives to develop a design response, using the Parker Knoll archive as a test case’.
