Curation

The Fabric of the City

In 2015 I organised, curated and participated in The Fabric of the City, a project which included an exhibition inviting fashion and textile designers to produce work inspired by the Huguenot Spitalfields Silks. The exhibition was held in The Bank Gallery, The Cass School of Design, and showed the work of leading designers. During the Exhibition, a one day Symposium was held on the themes of textile archives, textiles in the city, and textiles and refugees.

The project received an Arts Council grant and receives continued interest from the museum sector.

Following the Exhibition at The Cass, I was invited to curate a selection for an Exhibition in the foyer, at the Canary Wharf offices of KPMG, who made a generous donation to the BA Textile Design Course at The Cass, London Metropolitan University.

Huguenots of Spitalfields and SohoCreate

During the Huguenots of Spitalfields and SohoCreate Festivals in 2015, I organised a collaborative project with the students of The Cass Schools of Architecture and Design. Some of the student outcomes were displayed in the Huguenot Church, Soho Square, during the public lecture series organised by SohoCreate.

Toynbee Hall

I am currently coordinating a project with the students on the BA Textile Design, The Cass, and a new development at Toynbee Hall to design furnishings based on the Toynbee Hall ethos and archive.
